70 -- CCA SOFTWARE LICENSES SOL DEA-97-R-0030 DUE 061597 POC Carol Rothgeb, Contracting Officer, (202) 307-7822 The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) intends to award a contract for a perpetual software license to Computer Corporation of America (CCA), 500 Old Connecticut Path, Framingham, MA 01701. The software licenses being acquired are for use ONLY on DEA's CCA MODEL 204 Database Management System. All database creation and maintenance functions shall be dynamically executed. The MODEL 204 database structure is completely individual, therefore, enhancement software products are unique, proprietary and available only from CCA. Support is not available from third party vendors. Software licenses and support to be acquired are as follows: HORIZON and CICS INTERFACE. A firm fixed price contract is contemplated for one year with four, one-year options. All responses from responsible offerors will be considered. As a result of analyzing responses to this synopsis of intent, the Contracting Officer may determine that a solicitation will be issued. If a solicitation is issued, no additional synopsis will be published. Any such solicitation will be issued to the intended vendor and all firms that respond to this synopsis with pricing and literature demonstrating the compatibility to the CCA MODEL 204 and the ability to meet the Government's requirement.
