The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) intends to acquire the following Charpy V-notch specimens for the Standard Reference Material (SRM) Program: 1) SRM 2092 Low Energy; 2) SRM 2096 High Energy; and 3) SRM 2098 Superhigh Energy. The method of procurement is through an indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contract. The minimum requirement is a total of 9,000 specimens for the anticipated period of performance of a base year and four option years. NIST shall issue a delivery order specifying which type of item (SRM 2092, SRM 2096 or SRM 2098) should be worked on during each two month period. Delivery is required at a rate of 1200 units (one batch) every two months after contract award for the base year. Delivery for the option years shall be as needed to sustain inventory levels. Delivery required Freight on Board (FOB) destination, Gaithersburg, MD. It is anticipated that the procurement will result in multiple awards.
