331-8500 (Site Code DACW43) The US Army Corps of Engineers, St. Louis
District, is in the process of accomplishing a market survey to
prepare for the critical need for new hot- rolled steel sheet piling --
This is a market survey to determine the availability of new hot-rolled
steel sheet piling manufactured in the US which meets the ASTM
requirements for the following steel section types: PZ22, PZ27, PZ35,
PZ40, PSA23, PS27.5, PS31, PLZ23, and PLZ25. There is no known domestic
(U.S. Manufacturer) producer still in operation that produces hot roll
steel sheet piles. This market survey will provide the basis for
gaining a waiver if a particular product is not found to be available
in sufficient quantities. This action is not a request for proposal and
does not commit (the Corps of Engineers) to the procurement of
materials. The specifications for hot-rolled steel sections can be
found in CWGS-02411 Guide Specifications for Civil Works Construction.
Suppliers capable of furnishing the new domestically produced
hot-rolled steel sheet piling should send their response to market
survey to USACE, St. Louis District, ATTN: CEMVS-CT, 1222 Spruce
Street, St. Louis, MO 63103-2833 within 20 days of publication of this
notice. A response should include the quantities of steel sheet piling

more. 4) The number of pieces in stockpile for each length. This
synopsis is for informational and planning purpose only and does not
constitute a solicitation and is not to be construed as a commitment by
the Government. It is the intent of the Government to obtain stockpiled
