99 -- MISCELLANEOUS -- POTENTIAL SOURCES SOUGHT -- CLOSED CAPTION DISPLAY UNITS POC Beverly Rinaldi-Alt, Contract Specialist, (304) 535-6237 The National Park Service, Harpers Ferry Center, is seeking sources to provide Closed Caption Display Units. -- A devise that displays closed captions from a video source. -- These units will receive a NTSC video signal with closed caption information on line 21 and display those captions on a LED display, separate from the video picture. The unit must meet the following specifications: 1. Display all ASCII characters supported by closed captions. 2. Contain 4 lines of LEDs, 32 LEDs per line. 3. Eac h LED will form characters with a 5 by 7 dot matrix. 4. Minimum and maximum dimensions: Height 4" to 6", Width 20" to 24", Depth 1" to 6". 5. Video loop through with no processing. 6. Low voltage terminals for remote on/off. 7.
