The Defense Special Weapons Agency (DSWA) is seeking assistance with an effort entitled Portable X-ray Simulator, Design and Prototype Development. The objective of this effort is to design and develop a prototype compact x-ray simulator for circuit and box-level radiation testing. The simulator is expected to be based on state-of-the-art pulsed power technology, incorporating a compact design to allow testing at the system manufacturing site with advanced high-energy-density diode technology to allow high-shot-rate operation. The effort includes the simulator design, demonstration of critical components, development of a credible scenario for the simulator use, and the fabrication and evaluation of a prototype simulator.
