Sources Sought -- Request for Information -- RE DATA PROCESSING COST INDEXES -- The United States Postal Service is seeking information about cost indexes that it may use for its computer professionals' (programmers/analysts) contracts. USPS realizes that given the shortage of computer professionals and consequently the unpredictability of future compensation requirements for them, the best method of compensating its contractors for them may be by indexing. USPS is aware of the Bureau of Labor Statistics white collar wage earners index and Source EDP's computer professionals index. It seeks opinions about the use of them, and it seeks the identify of and opinions about other such indexes.
