The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Northwest Mountain Region intends to award a construction contract for the installation of an ALSF, at the Spokane International Airport, Spokane, Washington. The scope of the work consists of site preparation, trenching, power cable, control cable, conduit and grounding installation, crushed rock surfacing, paving, concrete piers, foundations, and installation of ALSF government furnished property (GFP), construction of the ALSF Substation, installation of GFP engine/generator, installation of GFP Above-Ground-Fuel Tank, removal of the existing Runway 3, MALSR (Medium-Intensity Approach Lighting System with Runway Alignment Indicated Lights), and miscellaneous other related tasks. The estimated value for the subject contract is between $500,000 to $1,000,000. Contract award shall be based upon full and open competition. The period of performance from date of contract award is 84 calendar days. It is anticipated that the Operational Notice to Proceed will be issued on/about July 14, 1997. The solicitation document to be available on/about June 2, 1997. Note, offerors are required to submit a technical proposal addressing knowledge and ability related to key project discriminators, past work experience, etc., in conjunction with a firm fixed price offer. Notwithstanding, the FAA reserves the right to award without any discussions and request for best and final offers.
