all labor, material, equipment, transportation, and supervision
required to renovate the station building, garage and boathouse at U.
S. Coast Guard Station Niagara, Youngstown, NY. Major work items are as
follows: Station Building: Provide three temporary mobile trailers for
Coast Guard use during the duration of the renovation project; Remove
and replace existing roof shingles and replace with new asphalt
shingles to match existing boathouse and garage; Remove existing doors
and replace with new thermally insulated hollow metal doors; Replace
existing damaged 8 inch horizontal lap aluminum siding, replace gutters
and downspouts, and paint entire exterior of station building; Replace
existing wrought iron porch railings and posts with wood railings and
posts; Install vertical platform wheelchair lift onto new north porch;
Complete interior renovations on all floors (basement, first and
second) to include demolition of existing partitions, ceiling, doors,
floor coverings, kitchen, bathroom, andprovide new related mechanical,
plumbing and electrical; and, Remove and dispose of approx. 25 SF of
asbestos and lead paint where affected by demolition work. Boathouse:
Insulate all perimeter and demising walls and ceiling; Renovate
existing shop area; Seal exisiting concrete floor; Replace five windows
on main floor with five triple and double hung wood windows; Replace
existing exterior hollow metal doors; Replace existing two coiling
doors with new thermally insulated doors; Complete painting of entire
exterior of boathouse; Replace approx. 285 SF of rotted wood walls,
base, and ceilings; and, Install new gas fired unit heater. Garage:
Insulate all perimeter and demising walls and ceiling; Create a
workshop area in a portion of the existing rear storage area with a new
work bench, lighting, and receptacles; Replace existing damaged 8 inch
horizontal lap aluminum siding, and replace gutters and downspouts;
Replace existing dooors with new thermally insulated hollow metal doors
and frames; Replace existing wood windows with new double hung wood
windows; Install new interior access door between the garage and
workshop area; Install new natural, gas-fired heating system for the
garage and worhshop area; and, Complete painting of entire exterior of
garage. Site work: Install stormwater inlets and an underground
stormwater conveyance drainage system on the existing roadway and lawn
areas; Remove existing roadway and parking lot pavement and install
new pavement; and, replace East sidewalk. This procurement is estimated
between $500K and $1M and is open to large and small businesses in
accordance with the Small Business Competitive Demonstration Program.
