Work includes but is not limited to painting and or applying vinyl wall covering to all walls of interior spaces, bulkheads, doors & frames. Installation of gypsum wallboard over existing con- crete masonry walls. Installation of new floor finishes. Replacement of interior doors, signage & chair rails. Convert gun vault and pass and ID areas into office space. Remodel Base Visual Information Area. Relocate miscellaneous doors on second floor. Replace stairwell handrails and cover underside of stairs with gypsum wallboard. Renovate toilet rooms with new fixtures and finishes. Modify the direct digital controller (DDC) system. Install new lighting fixtures for gun vault, stairwells and toilet rooms. Install emergency lighting in corridors. Modify entrances including landscaping and new exterior concrete sidewalks/walkways and stairs. Repaint the striping for parking spaces. Install fire supression system throughout the building.Construct a three level elevator addition. All work to be performed under a single lump sum firm fixed-price contract. The solicitation will be available o/a 21 July 97. The performance period is 180 calendar days after receipt of the Notice to Proceed (NTP). All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered as the solicitation will be issued under full and open competition. Funds are not presently available for this project. No award will be made until funds are available to make payments under a contract. The government reserves the right to cancel this solicitation, either before or after bid opening, with no obligation to the offeror by the government. The estimated cost for this project ranges between $500,000 and 1,000,000. A non-refundable charge will be required to obtain the solicitation documents when available. (0149)
