Work includes but is not limited to constructing a vehicle wash building enclosure and a manual wash station. Providing a wash/rinse area with a settlement chamber and second level platforms and wash wands for tall vehicles. Provide brick veneer, standing seam metal roof, landscaping, pavement, concrete curbs, and an equipment room. Provide new electrical utilities consisting of panel boards, lighting, rec- eptacles, and fire alarms. Remove existing electric pole and two (2) transformers that are used to feed building 322. Provide new load interrupter switch. Reuse existing cables. Provide heating for the equipment room by gas-fired unit heater, and ventilation by a propeller wall-mounted exhaust fan. Provide a manual vehicle wash system consisting of a high pressure hot water washer and an automatic wash water recycle system. Provide trench drains in the floor for collection of waste wash and rinse water. Provide underground natural gas service to the vehicle wash building with a gas pressure regulator and meter. All work to be performed under a single lump sum firm fixed-price contract. The solicitation will be available o/a 7 July 1997. A non-refundable charge will be required to obtain the project documents. The performance period is 180 calendar days after receipt of the Notice to Proceed (NTP). All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered as the solicitation will be issued under full and open competition. The estimated cost ranges be- tween $250,000 and $500,000 (0149)
