building of approximately 1800 SF to serve Area 24, of MCAS, Camp
Pendleton. The structure will be constructed of concrete block with
steel frame, metal roof, concrete footings and floor slab, complete
with electrical system, plumbing system, HVAC system, kitchen and
toilet facilities. It will also include concrete patios and minor
parking areas. Existing site is the location of a former building
destroyed by fire and the existing, remaining slab was left with a
small amount (approximately 130 SF) of vinyl asbestos tile (VAT) which
must be considered friable The work also includes incidental related
work. SIC Code is 1542, "General Contractors -- Nonresidential
Buildings, Other Than Industrial Buildings and Warehouses". Estimated
cost range is between $250,000 and $500,000. Contract completion time
is 180 calendar days. Bid opening is scheduled for 2:00 P.M. PST, July
23, 1997 at Building 22101, Marine Corps Base, Camp Pendleton, CA. All
responsible sources may submit a bid and it shall be considered. Copies

basis, June 23, 1997, and will be provided only in response to written,
