Foley Post Office & Courthouse, 445 Broadway, Albany, New York. Building is a landmark and on the National Register of Historic Places. Estimated Cost between: $1,000,000.00 to $5,000,000.00. This procurement is made under the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program and is open to small business firms ONLY. The summary of work is inclusive of the following: Demolition and Construction. Some areas will require full abatement and/or selective containment of asbestos contaminated material (ACM) and Lead Paint. Construction within the building will consist of but not limited to historical rehabilitation, partitioning, ceiling, finishes, specialties, fire protection, plumbing. HVAC, electrical and security. This is a performance specification and contains no priority or proprietary requirements except for to match existing stonework, mechanical components and security elements to be compatible with existing systems. This is a single phase construction. Past performance history with Federal Building construction, at least 5 years experience in Courtrooms construction, at least 5 years experience in rehabilitation of historical structures for the General Contractor. At least 5 years experience with existing and new mechanical systems and at least 3 years experience with Asbestos Abatement for the subcontractors. Contractor should comply with OSHA and EPA requirements. Presolicitation notices will be mailed on or about June 17, 1997. Bidding documents will be available on June 26, 1997.
