Work includes, but is not limited to painting all interior walls, ceilings, doors & frames, exposed piping, structural steel and roof ceiling in aircraft hangar; fireproofing of structural steel; preparing hangar roof for new high performance coating; repair hangar floor cracks; prepare new shop area floor & application of anti-skid epoxy floor coating; relocation of offices to temporary spaces prior to construction and the return after construction; replace all carpeting, vinyl composition tile, wood sheathing with new; replace all suspended ceiling systems with new; remove & replace all interior stud partition walls; provide new insula- tion with vapor barrier; replace all doors, frames, and hardware with new steel doors, frames & hardware; all interior stairs to be replaced with new; replace all interior signage with new; replace all restroom walls, ceilings, floors, fixtures with new; existing built-up roof system including insulation, gutters, & downspouts on lean-to areas will be replaced with new standing seam metal roof including insulation, gutters & downspouts; all HVAC support pads, stairs, windows, doorways in boiler storage room will be replaced with new; install complete and operating systems of heating, cooling, & ventilation; install new lighting. All work to be performed under a single lump sum firm fixed-price contract. The solicitation will be available o/a 18 Jun 1997. The performance period is 548 calendar days after receipt of the Notice to Proceed (NTP). This project is restricted to offers submitted by contractors that are certified by the Small Business Administration as being in the 8(a) program in the Pittsburgh District.
