The Defense Information Systems Agency intends to issue a combined synopsis/request for quotation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR, Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only Request for Quotation; Responses to the Request for Quotation are being requested and a written solicitation will NOT be issued. The Request for Quotation number is DCA100-97-Q-0109. The Request for Quotation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 90-42 (or latest). The Specific Make and Model Procurement is as follows: 80 each UPG-RSP7000 processor boards, 80 each SF-G75C-11.0.3 & FR-IR75 software licenses, and 17 each MEM-4500M-16F; 8 each MEM-4500M-16D; 80 each MEM-RSP-FLCM16M; 30 each MEM-RSP-32M and 3 each MEM-RSP-64M memory boards, and 1 each CiscoSecure Access Control Server V2.0 for UNIX, Part Number: CSU-2.0 on a sole source basis from Cisco Federal Operation, 380 Herndon Parkway, Suite 300, Herndon, VA 22070. Over fifty percent of this purchase, part of a security upgrade of Government-owned Cisco Internet Protocol routers, must be made from Cisco inasmuch as the processor boards and software licenses are only available from Cisco. The memory boards should be acquired from Cisco since the Cisco routers currently in place are maintained via a DISA Smartnet contract, and only Cisco or Cisco-approved parts may be used therein. Delivery will be made to Government Systems, Inc., 4212 Technology Court, Suite F, Chantilly, VA 20151. The provision at FAR, 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial applies to this acquisition. Offerors must also include a completed copy of the provision at FAR, 52212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items.
