MEXICO: AGREEMENT ON THE TESTS USED TO CERTIFY THAT THE PRODUCTS MEET MEXICAN OFFICIAL STANDARD NOM-072-SCFI-1994, ENERGY EFFICIENCY OF HOUSEHOLD REFRIGERATORS. LIMITS -- TEST METHODS AND LABELING The following notification is being circulated in accordance with Article 10.6. G/TBT/Notif.97.215. 1. Member to Agreement notifying: MEXICO. Agency or authority designated to handle comments regarding the notification can be indicated if different from above. 3. Notified under Article 2.9.2. 4. Title, number of pages and language(s) of the notified document: Agreement on the Tests Used to Certify that the Products Meet Mexican Official Standard NOM-072-SCFI-1994, Energy Efficiency of Household Refrigerators. Description of content: The present Agreement prescribes that for certification under NOM-072-SCFI-1994 "Energy Efficiency of Household Refrigerators. Limits -- Test Methods and Labeling", Table 2 entitled: "Energy Consumption Levels to be Reduced as of 1 January 1997", prescribed in the NOM itself, shall not be applied. Instead, Table 1 "Maximum Energy Consumption of Household Refrigerators" will continue to be applied until this standard is replaced with the entry into force of NOM-015-ENER-1997.
