Provide radiologists and technologists to fully staff the Radiology Clinic at the Department of Veterans Affairs Outpatient Clinic, 3019 Coit Avenue NE, Grand Rapids, Michigan, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding Federal Holidays. Contractor shall be responsible one primary and one back-up radiologist to provide coverage from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 1 full time and 1 half time technologist to perform CT scans; general radiology and fluouroscopy examinations 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., 5 days per week and one part-time technologist to perform ultrasounds 4 hours per day; two days per week. Radiologists shall at a minimum possess a current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine in any state in the United States, have a current basic cardio life support certification and a minimum of one year experience in each CT Scans, General Radiology, Fluouroscopy, and Utrasound. Technologists shall at a minimum possess current certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, current certification of basic cardio life support training, and a minimum of two years expererience in each modality to be performed under the contract. Technologists should be certified in more than one discipline. The primary radiologist shall be responsible for radiation safety. Contractor shall ensure sufficient staff has been privileged, credentialed and trained to provide backup coverage in case of illness or emergencies. The period of service shall be from October 1, 1997, through September 30, 1998, with two renewal options from October 1, 1998, through September 30, 2000. This procurement is unrestricted.
