Falgiano, Contract Specialist, (404) 842-6786 The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) contemplates awarding a sole source contract to The Society for Assisted Reproductive Technology (SART), an affiliate of The American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM), to begin implementation of Public Law (P.L.) 102-493. The purpose of this contract is to generate an annual report to CDC providing clinic specific pregnancy success rates as mandated in the Fertility Clinic Success Rate and Certification Act (FCSRCA) of 1992 (P.L. 102-493). As mandated by P.L. 102-493, CDC anticipates publishing an annual report of pregnancy success rates and embryo laboratory certification status, and develop a model program for certification of embryo laboratories. The Society for Assisted Reproductive Technology maintains a national database supported by its assisted reproductive technology clinics (ART) who must submit clinic specific data to SART and agree to annual on-site validation as a requirement of their membership. In order to be considered for award, prospective offerors must submit, within 15 days of publication of this synopsis, capability statements which demonstrate the ability to provide CDC with data collected by associated reproductive technology programs, that are validated by SART, and provide the necessary database development and reporting procedures in order to meet the requirements specified by P.L. 102-493. Offerors who request a copy of the solicitation and/or simply provide a statement that they can perform the work required will not be considered. In the absence of other qualified sources, it is the Government's intent to make a sole source award to The Society for Assisted Reproductive Technology. Only those responsible sources that meet the above requirements may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the Agency. (0153)
