Goodchild, Contracting Officer, 253-984-3878 Work consists of furnishing all labor, equipment, and materials for the replacement of the designated portion of existing heat distribution system at McChord AFB, Washington. Work includes l) disposal of excess materials, demolition and asbestos abatement; 2) excavation, trenching and earthwork; 3) new 10" and l4" ductile iron waterlines; 4) new PCC curbs, sidewalks, gutters, and paving; 5) ACC paving; 6) sodding of excavation areas; 7) underground and concealed steam and condensate return systems; 8) insulation of piping systems; and 9) cast in place or precast portland cement concrete trenches.Work shall be accomplished in two phases to accommodate necessary steam service interruptions. The magnitude of this construction is betweenn $250,000 and $500,000. Solicitation will be issued under full and open competition procedures on or about 24 Jun 97 with a bid opening date on or about 24 Jul 97.
