Goodale, (202) 268-5286 or Cindy Miller, (202) 268-5238 The USPS is looking for companies who have developed and sold a software program that supports a data base that enables buyers an easy and quick method for locating specific suppliers for needed products and services. There are a multitude of small, minority and women-owned companies (SMWO) who have contacted the USPS and wish to be added to our bidders list. They have offered such items as personal computers, laptops, software, maintenance support, computer programmers, furniture, and just about anything else the USPS uses. The software must support a quick and easy method for buyers to locate these suppliers who provide the specific needed item. Currently available solutions do not provide the level of detail necessary to locate specific items. They identify general items such as ADP hardware. The software must be able to reside on an internal web server with access to the external web server where companies could enter their product information. Any program must be in accordance with the Postal Computing Environment (PCE) and security requirements which are available on the USPS external web at http://www.USPS.gov/business/. Any company who offers a software product that meets these requirements should provide product information and be willing to demonstrate their product at any site in the Washington DC area.
