The work includes: removing concrete foundations; removing existing gravel surfacing; removing existing metal service building; removing steel structures; removing electrical equipment; excavation for substation site and access road, excavation from borrow, excavation for foundations and trenches; constructing embankments; backfill and gravelfill; gravel surfacing and soil-applied herbicide; construct foundations for steel structures, electrical equipment, and service building; construct cable trench; metalwork; installing Government-furnished transformers, power circuit breakers, batteries, battery chargers, duplex switchboard sections, and instrument transformers; furnishing and installing motor operated disconnect switches, disconnecting switches, fuse disconnecting switches, coupling capacitor voltage transformers, station service transformer, grounding system, conduit, insulated conductor and cable, bus systems, substation signs, and indoor dc and ac distribution panelboards; provide material and construct transmission line spans, 23 foot by 27 foot service building, microwave facility foundations, microwave tower, waveguide channel and supports, and microwave facility grounding system and lightning protection.
