This public notice is also to request that any suppliers wishing to participate as a subcontractor in the procurement program of this product should declare their intentions to that effect. This public notice is not intended to guarantee public notification of procurement of the product. (1) Name: VSAT system for satellite communications (2) Overview: This system is transmit-receive earth station for satellite communication using the Ku band and capable of bilateral data and audio communication between the VSAT stations or between the control station and the VSAT station, upon command of the control station. This is also able to compose LAN or WAN system. . 1) Operating purpose: Bilateral data communication (2.4 K b/s to 1.5 M b/s), and audio communication. LAN or WAN system application. 2) Installation method: Fixed installation or portable installation 3) System configuration: Data must be processed with the star connectivity (1: 1, 1: N) and single hop connections. Audio signal must be processed with mesh connectivity (multipoint-to-multipoint) and single hope connections. 4) Connection method: Pre-assigned multiple access (PAMA) or demand assigned multiple access (DAMA) 5) Required functions: Function to supervise and control the satellite communication network must be possible. (3) Contents of RFI: NTT is inviting the following types of information on a product or technology similar to the above-mentioned system. This is not, however, a request for suppliers to provide proprietary and/or confidential information, (1) Technical information 1) Electrical characteristics System diagram Antenna diameter, transmitter output power, transmitting-receiving frequency range, modulation-demodulation system, threshold C/N Transmission rate, information rate, coding rate of the error correcting system (forward error correction), coding system Interface with the external device to be connected, power consumption 2) Functional characteristics Function to supervise and control the satellite communication network Function to control transmitting power according to up link signal attenuation 3) Mechanical characteristics Outside appearance, external dimensions and weight 4) Electrical and physical conditions Environmental conditions (ambient temperature, ambient humidity, power supply, etc.) Adaptability to the VCCI (Voluntary Control Council for Interference by Data Processing Equipment and Electric Office Machines) specifications 5) Others Adaptability to the rules concerning technical standard conformity certification for specified radio equipment (an ordinance of the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications) (2) Price Prices for the following items 1) and 2) in each of respective system configurations of (a), (b) and (c) shown below.
