It is the intention of the Government to negotiate with Edge Scientific Instrument Co. on a sole-source basis for an upgrade to an existing Government-owned Olympus Mdl. BH2 fluorescent microscope. As a minimum, the upgrade will provide for the following capabilities: (1) Acquire images in a 3-D array and 3-D picture; and (2) allow for real-time imaging of both 2D and 3D images; (3) allow for 20mm of single stage travel for each full knob rotation; (4) simultaneous left and right photographs to produce stereo pair photographs.
