The Navy has a requirement for a minimum of 75 each and a maximum of 220 each ruggedized digital cameras. The cameras will be manufactured in accordance with a NSWC Crane performance specification consisting of the following features: Image resolution 1280 x 1024, Image depth 36 bit, Sensor Depth 12, CCD size 16L.4 mm x 20.5 mm minimum, shutter speed range 1/8000-30 seconds, PCMCIA Type III storage capability, 120 full resonance images on 170 MB on PCMCIA HD, ISO 400-3200, and 16mb buffer of memory. The camera must be capable of use in both day and night (Image Intensification Capable) operations and must be able to download imagery to the Manpack SIDS Computer via a SCSI card. Total weight of the camera shall not exceed 4.0 +/- 1% (without lenses) pounds, and dimensions shall not exceed 6.3W x 4.0D x 5.5H inches +/- 1 %. A quantity of four first article units shall be delivered within 305 days after award of contract. Environmental testing and data shall be performed in accordance with MIL-STD 810. Delivery shall be F.o.b. destination. Inspection and acceptance will be performed at NAVSURFWARCENDIV Crane. A three-year Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity contract is anticipated.
