(703)604-6100 The Department of Defense is formulating requirements for
the development and integration of a system to support Navy and Air
Force aviation mission planning. It is anticipated that this system,
the Joint Mission Planning Segment (JMPS), will eventually replace
existing Navy TAMPS and Air Force AFMSS systems. This Request for
Information (RFI) is to solicit information to aid the services in
formulating a best value approach to meet the requirement by balancing
cost, performance, schedule, and risk. Interested sources are invited
to review the RFI information package and provide responses. The RFI
may be accessed at "http://herbb.hanscom.af.mil". Under "Main Links"
select "Requests for Proposals" and under "Available Program
Information" select "Joint Mission Planning Segment". Parties unable to
obtain this document through electronic methods may fax a request to
the above point of contact at 703/604-3063. All faxed requests for the
information package must include a name, telephone number and address
for the point of contact. Responses to the RFI will not be considered
as proposals, and neither this announcement nor the RFI should be
construed as a request for a proposal. All information contained in the
RFI is preliminary and subject to modification and is in no way binding
on the Government. Questions or clarifications concerning the
information package should be forwarded as directed in the RFI no later
than 7 days after RFI issuance. All RFI responses should be received
