Y -- PREQUALIFICATION OF GENERAL CONTRACTORSS FOR THE STATES OF COLORADO AND WYOMING SOL 072976-97-A-0158 DUE 070397 POC Donna Johnson, 303-220-6538, Administration; Joel Roitenberg, 303-220-6524, Technical This is a notice of intent to prequalify General Contractors desiring to be placed on prequalified contractor's list for a period of twelve months and no more than 24 months from notice of prequalification for the construction of new postal facilities and selected remodeling and alteration projects in various locations in Colorado and Wyoming and may include but not limited to: New Construction Owned Facilities in Basalt, Colorado -- approximately 13,539 square feet; Colorado Springs, Colorado -- approximately 31,707 square feet; Dillon, Colorado -- 16,773 square feet; Greeley, Colorado -- approximately 26,676 square feet; Parker, Colorado -- approximately 32,748 square feet and Westminister, Colorado -- approximately 26,935 square feet. All facility locations may include Postal Service unique features which may include postal retail stores and security measures. Estimated cost range for the aformentioned facilities is $1,500,000 to $4,000,000. Construction starting time is unknown atthis time. Primary evaluation factors that will be considered are: construction experience, financial stability, bonding capacity, workload capacity and references from past clients. Other factors to be considered are: project management capabilities and company organization, as further described in the prequalification package. Participation of MBE businesses is a consideration in USPS selections. All firms will be notified within 60 days of receipt of their application as to prequalification status. No fewer than three and a target number of seven of the most highly qualified General Contractors will be placed on the prequalification list.
