Work will include but is not limited to the following: (1) demolish 5 high temperature (400 F)boilers and associated equipment in CEP #2 and provide and install new lower temperature (250 F) heating system equipment; (2) provide and install new supply and return heating distribution piping along with concrete trenches of varying cross sections and approximately 17,000 feet in length; (3) modify equipment in each building connected to CEP #2 to be compatible with the lower temperature system (approximately 49 buildings), and includes installing small steam boiler systems in building with steam requirements (approximately 9 boiler systems). SIC is 1711. Magnitude of project is $5,000,000 to $15,000,000 and is funded for FY 98. Period of performance is approximately 2 years.
