2.8" long by .743 O.D. Composed of bolt made of gun quality steel with
bolt ring-extractor-ejector-springs and pins. Mag particle and firing
test is required. Requirements are for 3,791 bolt assembly for M16
Series Rifle. Delivery is required by 15 Sep 97. This procurement is
restricted to Colt's Manufacturing Company, Inc., and FN Manufacturing,
Inc., under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. Published for subcontracting
purposes only. Offers from concerns other than the above are not
solicited. The proposed contract will include a 100 percent option.
Statistical Process Control is required. First Article Test is
required. ANSI/ISO/ASQC Q9001 or equivalent inspection criteria
required. For use on the M16A1/M16A2 Rifle. FOB is Origin. All or part
of this action is an unfunded FY97 requirement. Estimated issue date
of this solicitation is 062697. A License Agreement requires the items
procured to be manufactured in the US & Territories. US meansthe 50
states and the District of Columbia. The successful offeror under this
solicitation agrees to manufacture the items being procured under this
contract, within the US & Territories. Anyone requesting the
solicitation and technical data package must execute a nondisclosure
agreement binding you to the terms and conditions of the agreement.
Copies of the nondisclosure agreement shall be requested from ACALA,
AMSTA-AC-PCR-A/Ms. Bobbie Stegall, Rock Island, IL 61299-7630. The
nondisclosure agreement must be signed by an official authorized to
legally bind the company. Upon execution of the nondisclosure
agreement, return an original copy, certified mail to the above
address. The nondisclosure agreement will be available prior to the
issuance of the solicitation and technical data. Failure to properly
address requests for solicitations in accordance with this CBD notice
will result in non-receipt of the solicitation package. Failure to
properly address bids/offers in accordance with solicitation
instructions may result in a late bid which cannot be considered.
Written, fax or electronic requests for solicitation packages are
accepted. No telephone requests will be honored. Requests for copies of
this solicitation should include your commercial and government entity
(CAGE) (if a CAGE code has been assigned to you) along with your name,
address, datafax number, and solicitation number. The fax number for
requests is (309)782-7428. Electronic requests may be accepted through
the Automated Acquisition Information System (AAIS). All ACALA
solicitations are available for viewing/downloading, in addition to
procurement history, via the AAIS. The AAIS can be accessed
electronically, 24 hours a day, using a modem set to dial
(309)782-7648. Terminal emulation should be VT100, no parity, 8 data
bits and 1 stop bit. Once connected, enter "aais" at the "LOGIN"
