Designs will be provided by the Government with delivery of these items to Wright-Patterson AFB, OH. The performance of this contract will be in support of aero thermal research activities. Turbine engine aero thermal research models hot section heat transfer and acrodynamic loss mechanisms that limit efficiency, specific fuel consumption, durability and the cost of development of new turbine engine designs. Turbine aero thermal research also provides data sets of heat transfer and acrodynamic losses for use in the Integrated High Performance Turbine Engine Technology (IHPTET) initiative, in the validation of Computational Fluid Daynamics (CFD) codes used in turbine design, and in the development of new instrumentation and measurement techniques. Potential offerors must be within 50 miles driving distance of Wright-Patterson AFB, OH. Responses to this synopsis must include past experience in the manufacture of test hardware for aerothermal research fabricated out of the materials as stated above.
