D -- PROVIDE LOW DENSITY RADIO COMMUNICATIONS LINK EQUIPMENT TO NON-CONUS SITES SOL Not Applicable POC Scott Sautman, DTS31.MF, (618)256-9594 Due to the contractors unique qualifications and the the nature of the acquisition, the Government proposes to modify an existing contract with Alcatel Network Systems on a sole source basis to provide engineering, equipment and istallation for Low Density Radio Communications Link (LDRCL) at non-CONUS sites for which the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is responsible. The non-CONUS facilities/sites which require coverage are utilized on a 24 hour per day, seven day a week basis to provide immediate communications to a portion of the United States Air Traffic Control System. Replacement and/or upgrade of these non- CONUS facilities/sites are required to provide continued safety in flight. The estimated value is $4,000,000.00. Note: 22 (0156)
