Sep 98. Four one-year option may be awarded. SIC CODE 8071 with
associated standard of $3.5M. This acquisition will be full-and-open
competition. The Government intends to issue the Request For Proposal
(RFP) electronically. The RFP and other related documents will be
posted on the Air Force Business Opportunities Page on the internet at
"http://www.wpafb.af.mil/safaq/programs/mtf/master.html". The
estimated timeframe for RFP issuance is late June or early July 1997.
NO HARD COPIES OF THE RFP OR RELATED DOCUMENTS WILL BE ISSUED. The
Contractor shall provide the professional medical and clinic support
personnel to perform technical/professional clinical programs in
radiation oncology therapy health care to Government beneficiaries
eligible for health care. The Contractor shall provide care in
Government supplied facilities at the Radiation Oncology/Medical
Physics Service, 74th Medical Group, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base,
Dayton, OH, also referred to as the "Medical Treatment Facility" (MTF).
Offerors shall have an alternate facility within a 25 mile radius of
the facility. A Sources Sought announcement was posted in the Commerce
Business Daily on 30 Apr 97. Offerors may wish to see that
announcement for more details. A draft version of the Performance Work
Statement (PWS), Source List, and possibly other documents may be
posted on the internet at the web site cited above. Refer all questions
to Thomas M. Williams, (937) 257-6145, ext. 4232. An Ombudsman has been
established for this acquisition. The only purpose of the Ombudsman is
to receive and communicate serious concerns from potential offerors
when an offeror prefers not to use established channels to communicate
his/her concern during the proposal development phase of this
acquisition. Potential offerors should use established channels to
request information, pose questions, and voice concerns before
resorting to use of the Ombudsman. Potential offerors are invited to
