Scope of work consists of but is not strictly limited to providing all labor, material, equipment and supervision as necessary to improve the HVAC system in Judge Manion's chambers and separate the existing roof top unit (RTU) from the building's central HVAC system, replace VAV units with new VAV units, provide new volume dampers, provide new motor on RTU, provide increased size branch ductwork, provide user friendly controls for the existing RTU, remove the RTU supply and return ductwork from the central AHU ductwork, provide increased size for the portion of the return air ductwork that will become a common plenum for both the RTU and the central AHU, provide new low pressure ductwork from the RTU to serve new diffusers added to each office, and provide electric reheat coils in the ductwork supplying each office. The completion time for this project is one hundred eighty (180) calendar days from receipt of notice to proceed. Estimate cost range is between $100,000 -- $500,000. Specification will be available on or about July 7, 1997. Request for Proposals are due on August 1, 1997, at 2:00 P.M. (local time). The proposed contract is being solicited on an unrestricted size basis under Title VII of the "Business Opportunity Development Reform Act of 1988" (Public Law 100-656), which established the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration program to provide for the testing of specified innovative procurement methods and procedures. Therefore, responses from both small and large business concerns will be considered."
