Z -- REPLACE FILTER PRESS SOL F09650-97-R-0147 DUE 072897 POC For copy, WR-ALC/PKOC, For additional information contact Angie Whitley/Pkocb/912-926-9506 Project 950057 -- Design, build and construct a filter press in building 352 on Robins AFB. The work shall include but not be limited to, the following: the installation of a new filter press and associated equipment and parts to include pumps, valves, control panel, blowers, conveyor and shafts. Also included in the design is a DUPLEX system of pumps and blowers to include but not limited to the following: feed pumps, surge tanks, feed pump hydraulic power packs for filter press, water booster pumps, filtrate pumps as well as instrument air quality air compressor system and associated piping sized to fit the operation. Press is a 47 polypropylene plates with the caulk, gasketed and recessed plate construction. Work also includes a PLC control panel and an elevated concrete reinforced floor area for the press to sit on. Press shall include but not limited to a skelton frame, a plate stack methods of control and operation. Filteration is achieved by clamping the plates together and pumping the slurryunder pressure into the cavities formed between the closed plates. Filter media lines the chambers and captures solids while permitting clarified liquid to pass through. Filteraton capacity of the entire press shall be not less than 56 cu/ft per cycle. Feed pressure on equipment shall be 225 psi high pressure. Filter pressure volume shall be not less than 56 cu/ft. The filter press shall have a monorail type system over the press to allows removal and cleaning of the plates.
