The National Institute of Standards & Technology (NIST) has a requirement to purchase a Fiber Optic Scope and accessories, consisting of the following contract line items (CLIN): CLIN 0001 is ONE EA. Fiber Optic Scope, radiation hardened with a diameter of 4mm-6mm maximum and a length of a minimum of 10 meters, 50 degree minimum field of view, 0 degree direction of view with adapter for 90 degrees; CLIN 0002 is ONE EA. Integral light guide and direct video hookup; CLIN 0003 is ONE EA. Xennon 300 watt fiber optic illuminator; CLIN 0004 is ONE EA. High resolution color CCD video camera and power supply; CLIN 0005 is ONE EA. High resolution 8" color monitor. The quotation must list the manufacturer or brand name of the item to be furnished. Manufacturer's sales literature or other documentation shall be provided to show that offered product(s) meet or exceed requirements referenced above. Test data for radiation resistance is requested. Compatibility to other fiber optic equipment is desirable. Delivery shall be FOB Destination within 60 days after award. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; offers are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation 53SBNB760154 is issued as a request for quotations (RFQ). The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer will be most advantageous to the Government. Price and compatibility to other fiber optic equipment will be the criteria used for evaluating quotations, with price being significantly more important. Offerers shall comply with the provisions at FAR 52.212-2 and submit a technical description of the items being offered in sufficient detail to evaluate compliance with the requirements in this solicitation. Offers shall include appropriate product information and a statement of compatibility which clearly documents that offered products meet or exceed the above specifications, plus a list of 3 recent customers for whom similar systems have been delivered.
