70 -- HIGH PERFORMANCE SYMETRICAL MULTIPROCESSING REAL-TIME COMPUTER INTEGRATED SYSTEM SOL N00178-97-Q-0181 DUE 062397 POC Barbara Walters 540-653-4904T E-MAIL: Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, bwynne@nswc.navy.mil. The Government intends to purchase a high performance real-time multi-threaded UNIX based computer integrated operating system which supports symmetrical multiprocessing real-time functions and adheres to the UNIX System V Interface Definition, POSIX 1003.1-1990, POSIX 1003.1b-1993, POSIX 1003.1C, and X/Open's XPG4 Base 1993 standards. The specifications are as follows: A high performance symmetrical multiprocessing real-time computer integrated system in standard VME double height (6U) format, with up to eight 150MHZ PowerPC 604e RISC CPU modules and daughtercard each containing: 32MB local memory, 64KB primary cache, IEEE 754 floating point, 4GB logical and physical address space, 1MB secondary inline cache, 1.6GB/second memory bandwidth, industry standard VME64 I/O subsystem, industry standard PMC interface, less than 8ms response time of external interrupts to user level applications, SCSI-2 fast/wide interface, and ethernet (IEEE 802.30 TCP/IP interface. The system will be housed in a 12 slot BME chassis with power supply which holds up to five (5) half-height SCSI peripheral drives and at a minimum integrated with the following: Two of the 150MHZ PowerPC RISC CPU modules as described above; One 15 amp US power cord, One dual ported memory controller with PMC port; One 64MB DRAM memory module for a dual ported controller; One front plane connector for synchronous bus interface between processors and global memory; One 4.0GB fixed disk 3.5 inch, formatted, single ended fast SCSI-2 interface; One 4mm DAT tape driver; One X-terminal console 30 foot cable; One Desktop thinnet transceiver kit which includes a 6 foot cable, a thinnet transceiver, and a two terminator BNC Tee; One hardware manual kit; One 21 inch color X-terminal with 8MB memory 60HZ includes monitor, mouse, keyboard, 4MB flash memory, ethernet connection, and power cord. Resolution 1280x1024 at 73HZ 0.28mm dot pitch, 256 colors; One ANSI C compiler 2 user license; One C++ compiler 2 user license; One TCP/IP Frame level software implementation of the Internet Protocol Suite (IP); One X Window System Client software with OSF/Motif, X Window system version 11; One X-Terminal Boot software; One software tool set to provide a Trace, View, Simulation, Probe, and Tune capabilities. Includes a base system license and one user license. Trace provides a graphic toolset for analyzing the dynamic behavior of multiprocess and multiprocessor applications. View provides a general purpose source-level program debugger with features that make it useful for debugging real-time programs. Simulation provides a frequency based scheduler and performance monitor control package with X-Window and Motif graphical user interface. Probe provides a data monitoring and real-time recording software package through the X-Window and Motif graphical user interface. Tune provides an interactive graphical tuning and monitoring environment for multiprocessor computers. One additional user license for each: Trace, View, Simulation, Probe and Tune capabilities. One network file system to provide transparent file access among NES-compliants; one documentation kit for the C compiler; One documentation kit for the C++ compiler; One documentation kit for the Trace tool; One documentation kit for the View tool; One documentation kit for the Probe tool; One documentation kit for the simulation tool; One documentation kit for the Tune tool; One documentation kit for the TCP/IP software; One documentation kit for the X-Windows Client software (1 each). Award is to be made utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures.
