Bentley, Contracting Officer/(205)955-1187 The U.S. Army Space and Strategic Defense Command (USASSDC), Missile Defense, Battle Integration Center, intends to enter into a noncompetitive contract to continue on-going work of the Warfighter Analysis and Integration Center (WAIC) Simulation Engineering and Modeling Research and Development. This effort will continue the support of simulation, engineering, modeling, tasks, and integration services. The effort will focus on Advanced Discriminating LADER Technology, Space Applications Technology, Modeling and Simulation Assessment and Support, High Altitude Endurance Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (HAE UAV) Modeling and Analysis Support, Advanced Battlefield Information System, Virtual Collaboratory Testbed, High Altitude Endurance Unmanned Aerial Vehicle, and Focused Intelligence Simulation support. A SECRET Facility clearance will be required. There is no foreign participation expected under this acquisition. Under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1(a)(2) (iii), this action is directed toward Science Applications International Corporation. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, responses received from interested sources will be considered by the government. All responses should be directed to CSSD-CM-CN/Victoria R. Binford and must be received within fifteen (15) days after the date of publication of this synopsis. No telephone inquiries will be accepted. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government.
