C -- ASBESTOS SURVEY SOL RFP 600 036 97 DUE 070797 POC Peter M. Coronado Architect/Engineer(A/E) Services for Asbestos Consulting for various buildings located at the VA Medical Center, Long Beach, CA. This consulting service will be required to prepare final construction drawings with marked asbestos containing materials (ACM) spots listed by type, material and locations listed by area, room number or system, such as piping above acoustic ceiling for each floor of a building, for all buildings. This same information shall also be put in a tabulated form report. The selected firm shall devise an asbestos removal plan for all buildings and locations and construction cost estimates. Significant selection criteria includes: a) Personnel specifically trained in EPA's Model Accreditation Plan or equivalent. b) Personnel specifically trained in the Operation and Maintenance (O&M) course developed by the EPA. c) Personnel trained in respiratory and waste disposal of hazardous material. d) Specialized architectural experience in acute care hospital as it relates to asbestos hazards in the work place. e) Firm must be within a 50 mile radius of this VA Medical Center.
