The work includes but is not limited to the provisions of all plant, labor, materials, equipment and performance of all work incidental to the conversion of the chilled water pumping system from three independent chillers, pumps and piping zones, to a primary, secondary chilled water pumping system. The individual air handlers chilled water control valves are of the three-way type. Provide two-way type valves on air handlers. This project will strengthen the existing roof joists, in a single story area of the building, by welding additional steel bars at the top and bottom chords of the joists. The second floor of this building is served by a VAV-type air distribution system. Currently three perimeter offices are served by a VAV box. This project will add and reconfigure VAV boxes. This building will remain operational during the construction and modification of these systems. Phasing of the work is required for the building to remain operational. Additionally, interior shall be done after normal building hours to minimize occupant disturbance. The estimated date for the availability of plans and specifications is July 1997. The time for completion is 240 calendar days. The estimated Bid Opening Date is August 1997. The estimated cost range is between $250,000 and $500,000. The SIC Code for this project is 1711.
