a sight and extension for the 5.56mm Rifle. The assembly consists in
part of a forged front sight and a chrome steel barrel with an
extension nut. Requirements are 2,400 ea Barrel & Front Sight Assembly.
For use on the M4 Carbine. FOB is Origin. All or part of this action
will be an unfunded FY97 requirement. There will be a 100 percent
option requirement. Statistical Process Control is required. First
Article Test is required. ANSI/ISO/ASQC Q9001 or equivalent inspection
criteria required. Estimated issue date of this solicitation is
070197. A license agreement between Colt's Manufacturing Company, Inc.,
and the US requires the items procured to be manufactured in the US and
Territories. US means the 50 states and the District of Columbia. The
successful offeror under this solicitation agrees to manufacture the
items, being procured under this contract, within the US and
Territories. Bidders are hereby notified of the following requirement:
In order to receive the solicitation and technical data package, all
bidders are required to execute a nondisclosure agreement binding each
bidder to the terms and conditions of the agreement. Copies of the
nondisclosure agreement shall be requested from ACALA, ATTN:
AMSTA-AC-PCR-A/Ms. Teresa Stottlemyre, Rock Island, IL 61299-7630. The
nondisclosure agreement must be signed by an official authorized to
legally bind the company. Upon execution of the nondisclosure
agreement, return an original copy, certified mail to the above
address. The nondisclosure agreement will be available prior to the
issuance of the solicitation. Bidders are encouraged to request,
complete, and return the agreement as soon as possible. Failure to
properly address requests for solicitation in accordance with this CBD
notice will result in non-receipt of the solicitation package. Failure
to properly address bids/offers in accordance with solicitation
instructions may result in a late bid which cannot be considered.
Written, fax or electronic requests for solicitation packages are
accepted. No telephone requests will be honored. Requests for copies of
this solicitaion should include your commercial and government
entity(CAGE)(if a CAGE code has been assigned to you) along with your
name, address, datafax number, and solicitation number. The fax number

through the Automated Acquisition Information System (AAIS). All ACALA
solicitations are available for viewing/downloading, in addition to
procurement history, via the AAIS. The AAIS can be accessed
