The assembly consists in part of a forged front sight and a chrome steel barrel with an extension nut. Requirements are 2,400 ea Barrel & Front Sight Assembly. For use on the M4 Carbine. FOB is Origin. All or part of this action will be an unfunded FY97 requirement. There will be a 100 percent option requirement. Statistical Process Control is required. First Article Test is required. ANSI/ISO/ASQC Q9001 or equivalent inspection criteria required. Estimated issue date of this solicitation is 070197. A license agreement between Colt's Manufacturing Company, Inc., and the US requires the items procured to be manufactured in the US and Territories. US means the 50 states and the District of Columbia. The successful offeror under this solicitation agrees to manufacture the items, being procured under this contract, within the US and Territories.
