Lafayette, IN has a requirement to purchase a custom laboratory closed circuit video system for the livestock behavior building. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This is being issued as a Request for Quotation. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 90-46. This solicitation is 100% small business set-aside SIC #5731, $4.5. CLIN 0001 Fuhman Diversified monochrome very-high resolution (250,000 pixels) visible and infrared light sensitive compact (1.3x1.3x1.8") CCD chip camera with 0.05 lux sensitivity and electronic CCD iris shutter with speeds from 1/60 to 1/100,000 sec. with switchable automatic gain control or equal, 16 each. The entire system shall be configured to allow complete reassembly, deployment operation and the collection of video data by the end user . Off the shelf untested boxed components do not fulfill these requirements and are not acceptable. Both installation and operator training shall be provided by the bidder. The bidder shall replace or repair defective equipment for a period of at least 1 year after purchase and delivery. Delivery to be within 30 days after receipt of order to USDA, ARS, MWA, Poultry Building, Purdue University, W. Lafayette, IN 47907. The resultant contract will be FOB destination.
