Draft Specification The fiscal year 1997 DOT and Related Agencies
Appropriations Act and Conference Report directed the Coast Guard to
seek stakeholder input on VTS requirements and identify systems based
upon an open systems architecture maximizing the use of off-the-shelf
technology. In keeping with Congressional direction, the USCG is
releasing the PAWSS draft specification for comment. The PAWSS draft
specification may be obtained by accessing the PAWSS web site at
http://www.dot.gov/dotinfo/uscg/hq/g-m/mov/movhm.hmt or by submitting
a request to the Contracting Officer. We encourage you to submit all
your comments concerning the draft specification to the Contracting
Officer. The Contracting Officer, Ms. Martindale may be contacted via
