99 -- ENUMERATION AT BIRTH DUE 070997 POC Christine Nagengast Tel: (410) 965-9520 The Social Security Administration plans to issue 53 noncompetitive solicitations for Certified Vital Statistics Birth Record Information for all births occurring in each of the fifty States and the jurisdictions of Puerto Rico, District of Columbia and New York City. The period of performance for the base year is expected to be on or about January 1, 1998 through December 31, 1998, with four one year renewable option periods. A sources sought synopsis, published in Issue No. PSA-1847 of the Commerce Business Daily on Friday, May 16, 1997, substantiated SSA's belief that the various vital statistics jurisdictions are the only sources capable of providing this information. No telephone requests will be honored. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which will be considered by the Agency. See Numbered Note 22. (0157)
