The Federal Prison Camp in Alderson, West Virginia seeks a qualified organization for the purpose of providing legal assistance to the female inmates, one day per week (Thursday -- excluding Thursday holidays). Legal assistance activities are to consist of interviews conducted by third year law students to individual inmates. Legal assistance may cover a wide range of legal matters. "Legal assistance" may encompass issues such as post-conviction, immigration, family law, wills and trusts, property rights, sentencing and parole, inmate discipline or other correctional issues, and may entail the research of state/federal statues and case law. This procurement is not set aside for small businesses, (8(a) included), or labor surplus areas. Contract documents will be made available to any qualified organization within a 200 mile radius of the Federal Prison Camp. The estimated availability of the solicitation is June 30, 1997. The estimated contract period is from the date of award through September 30, 1998.
