Maurer, (757)441-7551 This project consists of maintenance dredging and disposal of dredged material by hydraulic dredge and pipeline from two separate areas on the Atlantic Ocean side of Virginia's Eastern Shore. The dredging area at Parker Creek is mostly fine grained material and Channel to a width of 40 feet and depth of 5 feet plus 1 foot of allowable overdepth. The contractor shall use the Government-furnished beach placement site on the East side of Metompkin Island (pumping distances may exceed 12,000 feet). The work in this area involves dredging approximately 25,000 cubic yards of material. The dredging area at Waterway on the Coast of Virginia is the Ramshorn area with mostly fine grained material and Channel to a width of 60 feet and depth of 6 feet plus 1 foot of allowable overdepth. The Contractor shall use the Government-furnished overboard placement site in Outlet Bay. Pumping distances vary from 5,000 to 8,000 feet. The work in this area involves dredging approximately 132,000 cubic yards of material. Magnitude of project is estimated between $250,000 and $500,000. Duration of the project is 85 calendar days. This procurement is 100% Small Business Set-Aside. SIC Code 1629 applies.
