The National Park Service is seeking proposals for documentation of seven rock art sites located within Lava Beds National Monument, Siskiyou County, California. The sites to be documented include: Symbol Bridge (CA-SIS-1/3), Antelope Well (CA-SIS-20/21), Big and Little Painted CAves (CA-SIS-22/23/24), Bearpaw Cavae (CA-SIS-29/30/H), Captain Jack's Cave (CA-SIS-146/H), Juniper Cave (CA-SIS-1479) and Ship Cavern (no trinomial). Documentation shall meet professional standards and shall, at a minimum, be of the quality included in Lee et al. ("The Rock Art of Petroglyph Point and Fern Cave, Lava Beds National Monument" 1988) including: production of rock art site maps with section views if appropriate, to scale drawings, and black and white and color photographs. The project report shall discuss the results of the above study relative to the findings of Lee et al. (1988) and to findings of other pertinent rock art studies. The report shall also include recommendations for future management of the project rock art sites. This will be a firm fixed price contract, set aside for small businesses. A limited number of solicitation packages will become available approximately early July on a first-come-first-served basis until supply is exhausted. There will be no charge for the solicitatiaon package, however only one copy will be furnished per each requesting party.
