The Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Integrated Service Network 12 in the North Chicago, Wisconsin and Michigan area is seeking a qualified firm with substantial real estate and development management experience to undertake a strategic analysis of eight (8) facilities (land and buildings) in the Network and to develop specific short-and long-range strategies for using and managing such assets in a manner which furthers the Network's mission and objectives. -- VA wants to determine the most productive use of the Network's diverse capital assets to reduce costs, increase revenues and/or acquire needed facilities or services through Enhanced-Use leasing or other asset management alternatives. The Network specifically is interested in: 1. Quantify and make specific recommendations on potential revenue enhancing and asset management oppertunities for the Network's major facilities; 2. As a potential option, to develop business plans and appropriate environmental reviews on certain selected alternatives identified by this study.-The intent is to immediately pursue the development of this initiative through a subsequent Request for Proposal.
