Due to the fact that the Coast Guard is in the process of closing its facilities on Governors Island, ferry service to the Island will be greatly reduced thus limiting vehicle access to the Island. Ferries will operate only one day per week for six hours. Pedestrian access will be maintained via regularly scheduled Coast Guard vessels. This Request for Proposals is being issued pursuant to the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program and is open to both large and small business participation and is estimated between $25,000.00 and $100,000.00.
