The U.S. Department of Education (ED) is seeking contractual support for conducting a two-year evaluation study of ED's Office of Educational Research and Improvement (OERI) Ten (10) Regional Educational Laboratories. The primary purpose of the evaluation is to assess the performance of each Laboratory under its 1995 five-year contract with the Department, including its role within the Laboratory system and the larger research, development, and dissemination (RD&D) infrastructure, and to identify improvements needed. Only one award is anticipated, And the period of performance for this contract will be two years. Potential offerors are invited to review the Draft Statement of Work for the Evaluation of the ED/OERI Regional Educational Laboratories and review (for information purposes only) the attached ED 1995 Statement of Work for the present ten (10) Laboratory contracts awarded in 1995, upon its release date of on or about June 12, 1997.
