The Directorate of Contracting, Fort Hood, TX, hereby issues this notice of intent to advertise Request for Quotations (RFQ), pursuant to Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.601, for supplies and services, exceeding $100,000.00, for commercial items through FACNET for full and open competition. All parties interested in quoting to Fort Hood are herein notified that all opportunities for receiving Request for Quotes on commercial items exceeding the $100,000.00 threshold shall be advertised through FACNET. Only those parties submitting their quotes back through FACNET shall be evaluated and considered for award. Facsimile and verbal bids in response to FACNET Request for Quotations shall not be considered. For the next 90 days acquisitions exceeding $100,000.00 will be advertised in the Commerce Business Daily (CBD) only to refer you to FACNET. After the 90 day trial period it is the intent of this office to advertise projects prepared in accordance with FAR 13.601 through one source which, in most cases, will be FACNET. (0162)
