The purpose of these proposed grants are to stimulate the start-up and expansion of irrigation scheduling information services in the Yuma Area, which includes all irrigation districts along the Colorado River south of Davis Dam. Pre-applications are sought from agricultural consulting services to assess the practicability of stimulating the increased use of these services through the private sector, by locally sponsored grants. Grants will be pro-rated based on crop acres served, and will be on a reimbursible basis for a maximum three year period. Grant amounts are expected to be between $10,000 and $75,000. (0162)
