DOD, MILITARY HEALTH SERVICES SYSTEM, HEALTH DATA PROGRAM, DATA STANDARDS The Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Health Affairs, Military Health Services System, Health Data Program publishes Data standards in accordance with DoD Directive 8320.1, DoD Data Administration, Federal Information Processing Standards 183, Integration Definition for Function Modeling and 184, Integration Definition for Information Modeling. The Health Data Program standards are integrated with DoD and when appropriate with industry. The data standards established to date are available to the public for review and comment. This notice is made available to provide background information about data standards and supporting documentation available through the Military Health Services Systems, Health Information Resource Service, a world wide web site. Expected users are government, universities, standards making organizations, and perspective offerors. These data standards are used for program and computer system development. Participation in providing information, comments, suggestions to the data documentation is totally voluntary and will be uncompensated. All information and data submitted to the government in response to the data standards will be considered nonproprietary and will not be treated by the Government as confidential information.
